About Emiel Kempen
Emiel spent the first years of his career in the Amsterdam and London tech scene, while
experiencing the fast growth of Dutch companies at bloomon and Adyen. Witnessing the power
of technology, he went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at the Vrije
Universiteit Amsterdam. He got involved with OfferZen when they launched in the Netherlands in
2020, and, while writing his thesis, started building a Dutch developer community for which he
hosted weekly Make Days. Next to working, he likes to read, run, or ride his bike.
